The Operator will perform routine tasks related to feed production including quality control, ingredient and feed processing, manufacturing and load out, ingredient receiving and storage, equipment maintenance and housekeeping. The Machine Operator must possess a strong work ethic, customer focus, hardworking and desire to work as a team member. This is a 1st shift (6:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.), hourly position that has the opportunity for growth, and comes with a complete benefit package!\n\nThis position is designed and intended to be performed in Sheldon, IA.\n\nPRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:\n\nDaily operation of equipment to process and manufacture feed products\nOperate the bagger, sewing machine, forklift and all feed manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently\nFollow warehouse and loading protocols\nEnsure KNG’s quality assurance is met regarding ingredient receiving, load-out, and bagging\nRecord and document all feed manufactured during shift\nMix and prepare livestock feeds efficiently assuring accuracy and high quality\nAssist management with production scheduling, inventory planning & control for both ingredients and finished products\nAssist with equipment maintenance and repair as needed\nLoad and unload trucks in a safe and efficient manner\nProvide excellent customer service\nObserve and enforce all company policies & procedures\nPerform general work around the facility and other duties as assigned\nMaintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations\n\nEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:\n\nHigh School diploma or GED\n1 plus years of manufacturing experience\nFarming background a plus\nMechanical aptitude preferred\n\nOTHER QUALIFICATIONS:\n\nBasic computer knowledge\nGood communication, verbal, written and math skills\nAble to effectively communication with customers, co-workers and customers\nAbility to work as a team member\nThorough understanding of cGMP’s\nKnowledge of OSHA safety requirements, HACCP Feed & Safety Plan, and FSMA\nAbility to lift a minimum of 55 lbs from floor to working height as job requires\nAbility to operate a forklift\nAbility to work in dust and adverse weather conditions and temperatures\nMust pass pre-employment drug screen\n\nEqual Opportunity Employer\nThis employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
