The Dispatcher oversees road service through communication with Operators and provides customer support to the clients. The above represents the standard Corporate Policy.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nOversee road service assigned carriers by tracking trip performance measures, route begin on time, performance, incidents, etc.\n\nProvide customer support by responding to questions and concerns regarding customer trips including no shows, cancellations and missed trips.\n\nManage emergency situations for vehicle operators, act as liaison between the carrier and emergency services.\n\nManage daily service by reviewing route performance and proactively responding to situations that impact customer service.\n\nProvide seasonal operational support by driving during summer months and assisting with dispatch operations during winter months, including coverage for dispatcher vacations and absences.\n\nOther duties as required.\n\nQualifications:\n\nHigh School Diploma or GED; Technical Degree preferred\n\nPreferred: Class B CDL with Passenger Endorsement, or the ability to obtain upon hire (training provided).\n\nProficient with computers and quick to learn new systems and programs\n\nExcellent verbal, interpersonal and customer service skills.\n\nProblem solving and analytical skills.\n\nMust be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed. Must be available to work Sunday through Thursday, from 4:00 PM to 2:30 AM. Schedule may vary based on operational needs.\n\nSubject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.\n\nPlease include a resume when applying\n\nPhysical Requirements:\n\nThe essential functions of this position require the ability to:\n\n• Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces\n\n• Push and pull objects up to 25 pounds, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level\n\n• Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes and noise.\n\nReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
