Coordinate production operations and maintain effective quality procedures and safety regulations. Responsible for all routine functions on the plant floor during an assigned shift.General ResponsibilitiesSupervise employees on the manufacturing floor for an assigned shiftCoach and counsel team members to develop performance to WestRock standardsControl load factors and workflow to ensure maximum use of available capacity and effective use of labor, tools and equipmentMaintain an effective, on-going safety planFirst point of contact for all hourly employee concernsEnsure that on a daily basis all WestRock standards and customer commitments (i.e., R&A, safety, output, on-time delivery) are followed within the plantMonitor all control proceduresAlter schedules to meet unforeseen conditionsBuild effective relationships with all internal departments to produce a superior productEnforce plant safety regulations and housekeeping practices and encourage employees to become safety consciousCoordinate production operations and requirements for finished products and needs for materials and laborMaintain effective departmental quality proceduresSupervise employees to accomplish productivity, safety, quality and efficiency goalsPrepare and submit reports as requiredPerform other duties as assignedQualifications2+ years supervisory experience in the corrugated industry required2+ years logistics experience preferred6 Sigma Or Lean Manufacturing Experience PreferredCollege or Technical training preferredCandidates are required to undergo a drug screening after receiving a conditional job offer, but before starting employment.Qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, protected veteran status or other characteristics protected by state or federal law.
