As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for the overall operation and performance, maintaining quality, and production objectives. This position is located in High Point, NC.\nKey Duties / Responsibilities\nOperate the packaging system monitoring overall performance, efficiency and quality.\nPerform equipment start-up, shut-down and preventive maintenance.\nSample and monitor product quality coming off the system, making modifications as needed.\nTroubleshoot packaging system performance and quality problems, correcting them and stabilizing performance as they occur.\nReplenish materials ongoing as materials are depleted.\nMaintains production, efficiency and quality records related to the packaging system operation.\nCompletes the production process for printed material by operating bindery/packaging equipment.\nSupports the manufacture of personal products through a continuous production operation, requiring an understanding of work methods and procedures as well as various binding machines.\nWork is typically routine, although some discretion may be allowed. Applies limited knowledge and expertise applicable to specialty for the implementation of predominantly short-term tasks and projects for business needs.\nOther duties as assigned. This job description describes one skill (or part of a skill) within a multi-skilled production team member job.\nDecision Making: Mechanical troubleshooting, production/priority decisions relating to maintenance and quality\n\nQualifications\n\nExperience / Skills / Abilities Required:\nMinimum 0 - 3 years previous machine operating or production experience in a team environment preferred.\nAverage to above average mechanical ability helpful.\nPhysical Requirements / Working Conditions: Manufacturing Environment - walking, standing, bending, twisting, grasping, reaching above and below shoulder, lifting up to 35 pounds on a regular basis and up to 70 pounds on occasion.
