Owned jointly by three Central Illinois Grain Cooperatives, AgRail is a full-service grain elevator that buys grain from farmers and elevators. Benefits OfferedCompetitive medical, dental, vision, STD, LTD, and life insurance. 401(k) with company matchPTO and paid HolidaysPosition ResponsibilitiesManage office operations including bookkeeping, scheduling, logistics and customer relations.Maintain complete and accurate records in accordance with company policies.Process daily, monthly and year-end procedures.Process and oversee accounts-payable and accounts-receivableAssist General Manager in grain origination, including providing grain bids, purchase and sales settlements, contracting grain from customers, processing grain payments and coordinating logistics. Facilitate the weighing, grading and processing of inbound and outbound grain shipments. Ensure office is properly stocked and order supplies as neededMaintain a clean and professional officeSupport General Manager in IT managementPosition RequirementsPrior grain elevator experience would be helpful but not necessary.Prior office management and bookkeeping experience is highly preferred. 2-Year associate’s degree helpful but not necessary. Must demonstrate essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer service, and decision-making.General computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office. Ability to work extended hours when necessary.Work ScheduleStandard Office Hours: Monday through Friday 7:00 am to 4:00 pmExpanded and non-traditional hours to facilitate train loading as neededHarvest hours: Typically 7 am to 7 or 8 pm Monday through Saturday.
