This position is responsible for supporting the Quality System, including auditing in-process product per instructions, completing associated documentation and assisting with other quality department tasks based on customer demand.\nUS Farathane has been a leading source of plastics manufacturing, supplying the automotive industry for over 40 years. Through highly technical research and development, coupled with a diverse and knowledgeable Management Team and dedicated Associates, US Farathane has continued to grow each year. We provide customers with a wide range of full-service support from black-box design concepts to highly engineered composites, TPE’s and TPO’s as well as specialized extrusion and compression technologies.\nEssential Functions:\nPerform in-process inspection of product to determine compliance to customer requirements.\nMaintain variable charts per blueprint and/or customer requirements.\nMonitor data received by sub-contractors for compliance to specifications as needed.\nAssist in sort operations as needed.\nResponsible for following all internal and OSHA required safety procedures.\nPerform Receiving Inspection and Dock Auditing as needed.\nAdherence to all company policies and procedures (i.e. quality manual, associates handbooks, level II procedures, etc.).\nMaintain work area per housekeeping standards.\nQualifications:\nHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.\nAbility to read interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.\nAbility to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.\nAbility to write simple correspondence, and to speak and present information effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.\nGood organizational and communication skills.\nAbility to do simple math: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.\nAbility to add positive and negative numbers. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.\nAbility to handle problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.\nPrefer:\nKnowledge of quality systems and standards.\nKnowledge of inspection techniques and simple measurement instrument usage. Capable of performing Gage R&R and capability studies.\nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
