Quality Technician – CNC Machining
BACKGROUND
Prosper-tech is a family owned (~25 people) CNC machining service provider for the medical device, aerospace, and defense industries. We are looking to add to our quality team to keep up with strong customer demand in 2025. This is hands on low volume production inspection work in a climate-controlled quality lab.

First Shift – 8-4:30
$22-$24+/hr depending on experience.

PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
High school diploma or equivalent
3 years+ of precision measuring experience (job-shop environment preferred)
Must be able to read machining blueprints including GD&T and know how to measure a feature off a print
SKILLS REQUIRED
Blueprint reading – Must be able to identify physical features from print, associated tolerances, and determine which quality tools to use to measure for the accuracy needed
GD&T – Must understand GD&T principles and how to apply to parts inspection.
Ability to follow instructions on how to operate CMM using existing programs.
Ability to use the following – Micrometers, calipers, gage pins, gage blocks, dial indicators, surface plate, optical comparator, etc
High proficiency of technical communication via email, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft Office tools
Ability to work within AS9100 requirements and through a digital ERP system.
Great attention to detail.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform in-process QC inspections using check print (part drawing) and record on dimensional inspection report.
Set-up operator check prints, operator inspection sheets and associated gaging at the workstations
Coach operators to perform operator checks
Perform supplier verification checks as needed by different outsourcing processes.
Assist in maintaining proper calibration records and physical/digital organization of QC instruments
Assist in lasering, assembly, or other final processing of jobs
Perform final visual inspection of work orders before shipping.
Proactively manage daily workload to eliminate any Quality bottlenecks.
Work within ISO9000 / AS9100 Quality Management System
