Certification Clerks interact directly with current members to achieve maximum occupancy and compliance with various program requirements (i.e. HUD, LIHTC, HOME, etc.) certification/recertification requirements and helps troubleshoot occupancy and certification problems as requested.\n\nEssential functions\nReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.\nCertifying and recertifying applicants and tenants.\nUsing customer service skills to take resident requests, address resident concerns, and resolve them quickly.\nMaintaining professional demeanor at all times.\nUsing exceptional multitasking skills to streamline processes and effectively manage daily tasks.\nPerforms clerical tasks such as filing, typing, telephone and computer input\nAccurately process information and documents to ensure methods are coordinated\nAbility to organize information in a predetermined format for submission to supervisors in connection with reporting requirements.\nProcessing monthly assistance reports\nEstablishing and maintaining all files of current members\nOther jobs duties as assigned by supervisor\n\nCompetencies\nTeamwork: Works with others and builds effective relationships to accomplish common team goals and objectives. Shares ideas freely and openly. Receives input from others. Recognizes when compromise is necessary while working towards consensus with a focus on outcomes that reflect the collective need. Accepts responsibility for his/her role as an effective participant\nCommunication: Listens and interprets verbal and non-verbal inputs in order to ensure thoughts and ideas are understood. Determines what information is to be communicated, when and to whom. Shares information seeks feedback from others and provides appropriate follow-up to ensure understanding of both the message and its intent.
