Shift: 12 Hours Description: Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and develop patient care plans. Administer medications, treatments, and medical procedures in accordance with physician orders and nursing standards. Respond promptly to medical emergencies, triage patient needs, and provide critical interventions. Monitor, evaluate, and document patient responses to treatment. Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and other healthcare team members to ensure continuity of care. Supervise and support LPNs, nursing assistants, and other staff as appropriate. Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential medical records. Educate patients on health conditions, treatment plans, and preventive healthcare practices. Adhere to infection control, safety, and security protocols within the correctional environment. Qualifications: Current, valid RN license in the state of North Carolina (or compact license with eligibility to practice in NC). CPR/BLS certification required; ACLS preferred. Prior experience in acute care, emergency, or correctional healthcare preferred. Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills. Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership abilities.
