Students will rotate through multiple departments to gain exposure to real‑world manufacturing operations, teamwork, and industry processes within a fast‑paced defense manufacturing environment.\nFUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Assist team members with daily production and operational tasks.\nLearn and follow IDC safety and quality standards.\nRotate through departments including: Quality\nAssembly\nMachining\nTurning\nFinishing/Deburring\nOne Degree Room\nSecondary Operations\n\nSupport inspections, documentation, organization, and general shop activities.\nMaintain a clean and organized work area.\nFollow instructions from supervisors, trainers, and mentors.\nDemonstrate professionalism, punctuality, and willingness to learn.\nParticipate in team meetings and training opportunities.\nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES High school student, technical college student, or recent graduate.\nInterest in manufacturing, engineering, quality, or skilled trades preferred.\nStrong attendance and reliability.\nPositive attitude and willingness to learn.\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.\nBasic computer and communication skills preferred.\nMust be 16 or older.\nPHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.\nAbility to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.\nAbility to safely work in a manufacturing environment.\nUse of required personal protective equipment (PPE).\nWHAT STUDENT WILL GAIN Hands‑on manufacturing experience.\nExposure to multiple career paths within manufacturing.\nMentorship from experienced industry professionals.\nResume‑building skills and workplace experience.\nOpportunity to develop technical and professional skills.\nWORK ENVIRONMENT The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
