You will work in a centralized control facility equipped with advanced technology and communication systems to ensure the safe and efficient movement of traffic.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.\nReal-Time Traffic Monitoring:\nUtilize traffic management software, cameras, and other monitoring tools to observe real-time traffic conditions.\nIdentify congestion, incidents, and abnormal traffic\nIncident Response:\nCoordinate with emergency services, law enforcement, and road maintenance crews in response to incidents such as accidents, road closures, or hazardous conditions.\nImplement appropriate traffic control measures to mitigate the impact of\nCommunication and Coordination:\nMaintain effective communication with various stakeholders including traffic\ncontrol authorities, law enforcement, emergency services, and road maintenance personnel.\nProvide accurate and timely information to the public through variable message signs, social media, or other communication channels.\nTraffic Management Strategies:\nImplement and adjust traffic management strategies to optimize traffic flow during peak hours, special events, or incidents.\nCollaborate with other TMC Operators to share information and coordinate efforts for network-wide traffic management.\nData Analysis:\nAnalyze traffic data and reports to identify trends, areas of improvement, and opportunities to enhance overall traffic efficiency.\nGenerate reports on traffic incidents, response times, and system performance.\nEquipment Maintenance:\nEnsure the proper functioning of equipment, such as cameras, sensors, and\ncommunication systems, through regular checks and maintenance procedures.\nReport any technical issues promptly to the maintenance.\nWorking Conditions:\n24/7-365 operations including nights, weekends and holidays on a rotational work schedule. Dedicated technician holiday schedule.\nWork in a centralized traffic management center with advanced technology infrastructure.\nRequired Skills & Experience:\nHigh school diploma or equivalent (bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus).\nPrevious experience in traffic management, transportation, or a related field is preferred.\nProficient in using traffic management software and monitoring tools.\nStrong communication and coordination skills.\nAbility to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.\nKnowledge of traffic laws, regulations, and emergency response procedures.\nAnalytical skills for interpreting traffic data and making informed decisions.\nAble and willing to work a flexible 24/7-365 days rotating schedule.\nWork Environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
