FINANCIAL SPECIALIST

Job Title The job duties include: Coordinates tasks with Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS) Centers and DFAS-HQ as necessary. Makes recommendations involving substantive impacts on policies, procedures, systems and operations of finance functions. Provides oversight on all Congressional inquiries to ensure research is conducted, management updates produced and ensure all inquires are resolved in a timely manner. Recommends improvements to enhance customer service including technological changes, telecommunications and automation requirements, and staffing and training needs. Develops customer service program goals and surveys to measure customer satisfaction for the network. Provides advice and assistance on customer service inquiries; tracks all outstanding customer service inquiries. Prepares detailed reports and briefings of customer service operations and identifies root problems in need of further study or correction. Provides process improvement initiatives based on knowledge and experience with Access Databases and Excel workbooks/pivot tables.
