The American Red Cross Instructor will report directly to the Assistant Aquatics Director and Aquatics Director.\n\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\n\nPromote classes to JRSSC members and guests\n\nAssist in regular in service trainings\n\nAdapt all teaching approaches to the age, experience and ability of each participant\n\nCommunicate regularly with participants to ensure they are aware of progress\n\nRecognize and respond effectively in emergencies in accordance with JRSSC emergency action plans\n\nEnforce all aquatic facility policies, rules and regulations\n\nAccurately complete records and reports\n\nComplete any necessary reports for accidents and/or incidents\n\nAble to work in a wet pool environment\n\nPossess strong customer service skills\n\nAble to multitask and be well organized\n\nAble to work in a team environment\n\nAble to communicate effectively with others, verbally and in writing\n\nKnowledge of and respect for Jeff Rouse Swim and Sport Center Mission\n\nKnowledge of the rules and regulations of JRSSC, including its Personnel Handbook, and abide by them\n\nPerform other duties and responsibilities as needed, required, or assigned by the Assistant Aquatics Director, Aquatics Director and/or the General Manager\n\nSupervisory Responsibilities\n\nThis job has no supervisory responsibilities\n\nCompetencies\nTo perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:\n\nAnalytical – Synthesizes complex or diverse information;
