And we provide an environment to refine skills and grow careers continually.About this Role: In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain AI-powered applications and agentic systems that enhance Propensity’s omnichannel ABM platform. You will work on integrating large language models (LLMs), AI workflows, automation agents, and intelligent data orchestration into customer-facing and internal tools.This role combines traditional software engineering with modern AI development, including generative AI applications, prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), agentic workflows, and scalable API integrations. You will collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Customer Success, and Go-To-Market teams to deliver innovative AI-driven solutions that improve automation, campaign execution, and customer outcomes.Responsibilities:Hybrid schedule 1 day in office in NH and 4 days remote. Design and develop AI-powered applications, automation workflows, and agentic systems within the Propensity platformDevelop scalable backend services and APIs to support AI features, orchestration layers, and intelligent workflowsImplement and optimize integrations with large language models (LLMs) and AI providers such as OpenAI, Claude, ChatGPT, Anthropic, or open-source modelsDesign prompt engineering frameworks and multi-step agent workflows to automate complex business processesWrite, test, debug, and maintain high-quality production code across backend and frontend systemsOptimize software performance, scalability, observability, and security across AI and non-AI systemsCollaborate with stakeholders to define requirements, prototype AI solutions, and deliver scalable production-ready applicationsDocument technical architecture, AI workflows, integrations, and engineering standardsStay current with emerging AI technologies, frameworks, and best practices and help drive AI innovation across the organizationWhat you’ll need: Strong proficiency in Ruby and/or PythonExperience building AI-powered applications or integrating LLM APIsExperience with agentic workflows, AI orchestration frameworks, or autonomous systemsStrong understanding of REST APIs, GraphQL APIs, and modern web servicesExperience with prompt engineering, RAG architectures, vector databases, or semantic searchExperience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCPFamiliarity with JavaScript/HTML/CSS and modern frontend frameworksExperience working with databases such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or vector databasesUnderstanding of software scalability, security, and distributed systemsAbility to prioritize effectively and provide timely project updates in a fast-paced startup environmentStrong problem-solving and communication skillsWhat we’d like to see: Experience building production AI applications using OpenAI, Anthropic, LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar frameworksExperience developing agentic AI systems and workflow automation toolsExperience with AI observability, evaluation frameworks, and model optimizationExperience deploying AI applications in production cloud environmentsFamiliarity with MLOps, model lifecycle management, or fine-tuning workflowsExperience working in high-growth startup environmentsAbility to identify gaps, improve processes, and drive technical innovation independentlyStrong curiosity around emerging AI technologies and practical business applicationsWhy we believe this is a great opportunity:Competitive salariesPaid health coverageGenerous PTOOpportunity to join a high-growth organization at a key inflection point in its historyAbility to make a large impact on our go-to-market organization and the company culture as we growPropensity is an equal-opportunity employer.
