Location: Amarillo, TX Job Title: Procurement Training Coordinator Advisor Career Level: Advisor Organization: Supply Chain Management (50525662) Job Specialty: Supply Chain-Multi Function What You'll Do Performs in a variety of roles or provides support and technical knowledge in two or more of the job specialties assigned within the Supply Chain job family. The Procurement Training Coordinator and advisor will support the development, implementation, and coordination of comprehensive training programs designed to ensure compliant procurement processes and enhance the capabilities of PanTeXas Deterrence, LLC (PXD) personnel. This role will also serve as a trusted advisor to management and staff, providing expert guidance on procurement strategies, policies, and best practices to ensure efficiency, transparency, and value for money. This role involves curriculum development, training delivery, and contributing to strategic initiatives such as the integration of the Contractor Acquisition University (CAU). Ensures all aspects of the training program requirements are communicated and coordinated with the Supply Chain Management (SCM) Procurement Operations teams. The position works to develop and evaluates training in a variety of learning environments. Works closely with the Compliance Team to understand knowledge gaps, performs needs assessments/analysis of existing training modules, and makes recommendations to management on courses of action to address concerns. Evaluates the effectiveness of training program to achieve continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities: Training & Development Develop and deliver engaging procurement training sessions (in-person and virtual) for staff at all levels. Create training materials, manuals, and electronic-learning (e-learning) modules tailored to organizational needs including the development of curriculum specifically tailored for adult learners. This encompasses both classroom and virtual training coordination, the development and updating of virtual learning products, and managing all aspects of training delivery. Assess training effectiveness and recommend improvements as well as supporting the development of innovative adult learning techniques, including e-learning platforms and interactive training methods. Develop briefings and reports on issues, identified gaps, and various topics associated with supply chain training efforts. Support the development and implementation of the CAU framework into PXD’s overall procurement training approach. Advisory & Strategic Support Provide expert advice on procurement planning, sourcing strategies, and contract management. Guide teams on compliance with procurement policies, regulations, and ethical standards. This includes determining appropriate training solutions, preparing training content, supporting training events, and developing objectives and implementing associated activities. Support management in developing procurement strategies that align with organizational goals. Support the development of innovative adult learning techniques, including e-learning platforms and interactive training methods. Process Improvement & Compliance Identify opportunities to streamline procurement processes and enhance efficiency. Monitor adherence to procurement policies and recommend corrective actions when necessary. Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes. Minimum Job Requirements Bachelor's degree: Minimum 14 years of relevant experience. Master's degree: Minimum 12 years of relevant experience. PhD: Minimum 6 years of relevant experience. Strong understanding of procurement processes and compliance requirements. Experience with project management principles and developing work plans. Ability to work collaboratively within teams and independently manage tasks. Proven experience in procurement, contract management, and training delivery. Strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills. Excellent communication, presentation, and report-writing skills. Ability to analyze complex procurement issues and provide practical solutions.
