This position plays a critical role in supporting company leadership with timely, accurate, and actionable financial information.\r\nCore Responsibilities Manage all aspects of accounting including cash, payroll, billing/accounts receivable, accounts payable, WIP schedules, and monthly close\r\nMaintain accurate and timely financial reporting and general ledger integrity\r\nEnsure compliance with accounting standards and company policies\r\nPartner with Project Managers and Operations to monitor project costs and performance\r\nProvide monthly updates on cost-to-complete and gross profit forecasts\r\nMaintain and improve WIP reporting and percent-complete revenue recognition\r\nEnsure billing is accurate, complete, and aligned with project progress\r\nCash Flow & Financial Planning Manage company cash flow, including short- and long-term forecasting\r\nOversee banking relationships and company credit facilities\r\nPrepare annual overhead budgets and P&L forecasts\r\nTrack performance against budget and provide ongoing updates\r\nLeadership & Process Improvement Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team\r\nEstablish and maintain strong internal controls\r\nIdentify inefficiencies and implement improved financial processes and systems\r\nEnsure consistency and scalability of accounting practices\r\nStrategic Support Provide financial insights and reporting to support company strategy and decision-making\r\nPartner with executive leadership to improve operational and financial performance\r\nWork with third-party brokers to manage property/casualty and health insurance programs\r\nQualifications & Skills Minimum 5 years of accounting management experience in the construction industry\r\nStrong understanding of job costing and percent-complete revenue recognition\r\nExperience with construction accounting systems (Foundation Software or similar preferred)\r\nBachelor's degree in Accounting (required)\r\nStrong organizational and time management skills\r\nProven leadership ability and experience working with senior management\r\nAbility to communicate effectively with Project Managers and Operations teams\r\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills\r\nSchedule & Work Location Monday–Friday\r\nIn-office role based in Napa, CA\r\nOccasional travel to job sites and other company locations as needed\r\nWorking Conditions & Physical Requirements Primarily an office-based role with standard office equipment\r\nOccasional visits to active construction job sites\r\nCombination of sitting, standing, and walking\r\nAbility to lift up to 25 lbs. occasionally; heavier items with assistance\r\nExposure to typical jobsite conditions during site visits (weather, uneven terrain, etc.)\r\n$175,000 – $200,000 base salary (BOE)\r\n401(k) with company match\r\nMedical, dental, and vision insurance\r\n$25,000 Life insurance AD&D Provided by Oxbow\r\nVoluntary Life up to $200,000 without Proof of Insurability\r\n9 paid company holidays annually\r\nAt Oxbow, this role is more than accounting — it's a leadership position that directly impacts how the company operates and grows.
