In this role, you'll work closely with our AI Steering Committee and cross-functional teams to turn high-impact use cases into production-ready ML systems.\r\nYou'll be hands-on across the full ML lifecycle—feature engineering, model development, automated pipelines, deployment, and monitoring—using a modern cloud-based stack centered on Databricks, MLflow, and Delta Lake .\r\nPreference is for this to be a hybrid role in Pittsburgh, but we are open to fully remote candidates in Eastern or Central time zones.\r\nWhat You'll Do:\r\nDesign, develop, and deploy machine learning models using Python, PySpark, Databricks ML, and Delta Lake\r\nPartner with business and technical stakeholders to identify and deliver impactful AI/ML use cases\r\nBuild automated ML pipelines for model training, validation, and deployment\r\nManage feature stores and continuously monitor model performance and reliability using MLflow\r\nApply machine learning techniques to solve real business challenges and extract meaningful insights from data\r\nOptimize models and pipelines for scalability, performance, and cost efficiency\r\nTest, validate, and iterate on models to ensure accuracy and robustness\r\nStay current with emerging AI/ML technologies and help advance NEP's AI strategy\r\nWhat You'll Do:\r\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, with 3–7+ years in AI/ML, data science, or data engineering\r\nStrong hands-on experience with Python, PySpark, distributed computing , and Databricks / Delta Lake\r\nProven ability to design, train, and deploy production-grade machine learning models\r\nSolid foundation in statistics, mathematics, and machine learning algorithms\r\nExperience working in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP)\r\nFamiliarity with MLOps best practices , including ML pipelines, model versioning, CI/CD, and performance monitoring\r\nExperience with governed data environments, data quality/drift monitoring , and advanced ML techniques (e.g., NLP, entity resolution, AI agents)\r\nMedical, Dental, and Vision coverage\r\nVacation Days\r\nSick Days\r\n401(k)\r\nDiscount Programs\r\nLife Insurance\r\nDisability Insurance\r\nEmployee Assistance Program\r\nFlexible Spending Account\r\nYou might not know our name, but you've probably seen our work – on stage, on screen or on the field.
