This position will report directly to the General Manager and will be a member of the Mill Leadership Team.\n \nPrincipal Responsibilities\nFinancial Reporting\n\nResponsible for timely and accurate completion of monthly financial close and analysis for both financial and operational metrics (including monthly & quarterly reconciliations)\nResponsible for the completion of mill financial forecasts (monthly, quarterly, and annual plans)\nResponsible for weekly cost reporting to support mill Margin Improvement Initiatives.\nExperience with Capital Project cost tracking and analysis vs budget.\nKnowledge of Inventory control and analysis.\nAd hoc analysis as requested by Mill Management or Corporate.\n\n \nInternal Controls\n\nAlong with the General Manager, responsible for ensuring compliance with current internal controls at the mill.\nSupport SOX & internal control testing as assigned.\n\n \nProcess Management\n\nDrive financial and operational improvement at the mill.\nSupport Accounts Payable, Payroll, Fiber Procurement, and Residuals processes as needed.\nSupport Shared Services and site purchasing with vendor inquiries and issue resolution.\nSupport site purchasing on PO effectiveness to support spend forecasting and control.\nSystems Implementation/Process Improvement\nParticipate in design/training workshops. Complete user testing/validation\n\n \nCandidate – Experience and Competencies\nTo be effective in this role, the candidate will possess the following experiences and competencies:\n\n4-year degree, in Business, Accounting or Finance. CPA designation or working towards one preferred.\nRelated work experience of 3-5 years is required, preferably in a manufacturing environment.\nFlexible, detail-oriented, accurate and able to prioritize deadlines.
