We operate in a fast-paced small-business environment that requires initiative, organization, and accountability.\nPosition Summary\nThe Supply Chain Manager is responsible for project-based procurement of materials and outsourced production services for engineered contract fabrication projects. The position manages the purchasing process from RFQ through delivery while ensuring compliance with engineering requirements, project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.\nKey Responsibilities\nPrepare and send RFQs for materials, components, and outsourced fabrication services.\nReview quotations and select vendors based on technical capability, quality, price, lead time, and reliability.\nNegotiate pricing, payment terms, freight terms, lead times, and delivery commitments.\nDevelop new suppliers and build long-term relationships with existing suppliers to improve capability, quality, pricing, lead times, and delivery performance.\nCreate accurate purchase orders using approved quotations, engineering drawings, specifications, and project requirements.\nTrack purchase orders, vendor progress, and deliveries through completion.\nExpedite orders and resolve potential cost, quality, or schedule issues.\nRead and interpret engineering drawings, bills of material, and technical specifications.\nConfirm that vendor quotations and purchase orders reference the correct technical requirements and drawing revisions.\nCoordinate technical questions between vendors, Engineering, Project Management, Production, and Quality.\nCoordinate domestic and international shipments and required shipping documentation.\nMaintain accurate project-specific procurement records and status reports.\nIdentify cost-saving, alternative-sourcing, and process-improvement opportunities.\nRequired Qualifications\nAt least five years of procurement, purchasing, or supply-chain experience.\nExperience with engineered contract fabrication is required.\nProject-based procurement experience is required.\nProfessional fluency in English and Spanish is required.\nAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications is required.\nExperience purchasing both materials and outsourced production or fabrication services.\nExperience issuing RFQs, evaluating quotations, selecting vendors, negotiating prices, creating purchase orders, and tracking deliveries.\nExperience working with domestic and international vendors.\nStrong knowledge of vendor management, logistics, freight terms, Incoterms, and shipping documentation.\nStrong organizational, negotiation, communication, and Microsoft Office skills.\nAbility to manage multiple projects, vendors, purchase orders, and deadlines simultaneously.\nBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred.
