Xeikon Digital Press Operator

*Part-Time Xeikon Digital Press Operator* *Location:* Nashville, TN *Compensation:* $25–30/hour (DOE) *Schedule:* Flexible (approximately 10–25 hours/week) with the potential to grow into a full-time position. *About the Position* Cumberland Graphics is seeking an experienced Xeikon Digital Press Operator to join our production team. We’re looking for someone who can confidently operate a Xeikon press with minimal supervision, troubleshoot production and mechanical issues, perform routine maintenance, and help us maintain the high quality our customers expect. This is a hands-on production position in a small team. While your primary responsibility will be operating our Xeikon press, we value team members who are willing to assist throughout our production workflow when needed. *Responsibilities* * Independently operate a Xeikon digital web press. * Prepare, monitor, and complete production jobs while maintaining high print quality. * Perform daily, weekly, and preventative maintenance on the press. * Diagnose and troubleshoot print quality, color, and mechanical issues. * Perform color calibrations and maintain consistent color throughout production. * Work with Xeikon MyPress and X-800 software. * Help identify production improvements and reduce downtime. * Maintain a clean and organized work area. * Assist with other production tasks as needed, including: * Operating a Polar paper cutter * Laminating and finishing prints * Packaging and shipping customer orders * General production support *Required Qualifications* * *Minimum 2 years of experience operating a Xeikon digital press* * Ability to independently operate, maintain, and troubleshoot a Xeikon press. * Working knowledge of Xeikon MyPress and X-800 workflow software. * Strong understanding of digital print production and color management. * Mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose equipment issues. * High attention to detail and commitment to print quality. * Comfortable working independently while also contributing to a small team. * Willingness to assist in all areas of production when needed. *Preferred Qualifications* * Experience with Xeikon 8000, 8500, 8600, or 9600 series presses. * Experience with web-fed digital printing. * Experience operating production finishing equipment such as cutters and laminators. * Familiarity with preventative maintenance programs. * Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement mindset. *What We’re Looking For* We’re looking for someone who takes pride in producing exceptional work, enjoys solving mechanical and production challenges, and understands that everyone on a small team contributes wherever needed.
