Reporting to the Production Manager, this role leads Sub Assembly Technician I-III employees and coordinates staffing, workflow, materials, quality, training, and production priorities so completed subassemblies meet approved drawings, documentation, schedule, and downstream production requirements.\n\nWhat You'll Do\nDirectly supervise and coordinate the work of Sub Assembly Technician I-III employees within the Sub Assembly subdepartment.\nPlan and assign daily subassembly work, staffing, and priorities based on production schedules, employee capabilities, material availability, and delivery requirements.\nReview production drawings, work instructions, specifications, measurements, and material requirements and ensure employees have the information, tools, equipment, and resources needed to complete assigned work.\nMonitor subassembly work and production progress for workmanship, fit, alignment, quality, documentation, and schedule performance; identify delays, bottlenecks, or resource needs and take appropriate action or escalate as needed.\nEnsure required quality checks are performed and documented and address or communicate defects, deviations, rework needs, missing information, and material issues identified during subassembly work.\nProvide day-to-day direction, coaching, training, performance feedback, and accountability and support employee development through the Sub Assembly Technician I-III career structure.\nCoordinate with Production Management, Electrical Assembly, Control Wiring, Quality, Engineering, Materials, and other functions to resolve production issues and ensure drawings, materials, tools, and information are available to support scheduled work.\nAddress subassembly, fit, alignment, tooling, material, quality, documentation, and workflow issues within assigned authority and escalate matters requiring additional technical or operational support.\nEnsure assigned work areas, tools, equipment, materials, and production information are organized and available to support safe and efficient work.\nSupport safe work practices, efficient production methods, quality improvement, lean manufacturing, process standardization, and continuous learning within the assigned team.\nMaintain and support required production, quality, inspection, training, and work records and applicable business systems.\nPerform hands-on subassembly or related production support as needed to address workflow, training, quality, or schedule requirements.\nWhat You'll Bring\n\nRequired\n\nHigh school diploma or equivalent.\nExperience in manufacturing, subassembly, electrical assembly, industrial assembly, or a related production environment.\nAbility to read and work from production drawings, instructions, specifications, and measurements and use measuring devices, hand tools, and power tools appropriate to assigned work.\nStrong attention to detail, troubleshooting, communication, and ability to follow approved processes and documentation requirements.\nAbility to provide direction to employees, coordinate multiple priorities, and monitor production performance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.\nAbility to work effectively with Production, Engineering, Quality, Materials, Control Wiring, Electrical Assembly, and other internal personnel.\nStrong leadership and team-development capability, including direction, coaching, training, performance feedback, and accountability.\nAbility to coordinate staffing, work assignments, priorities, materials, tools, and resources and resolve or escalate subassembly, fit, alignment, material, quality, documentation, and workflow issues.\nRegular on-site physical presence is required; ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, push, pull, grasp, perform repetitive movements, lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds, and safely use computers, office equipment, tools, machinery, testing equipment, and measuring devices required for assigned duties.\nAbility to safely operate company vehicles, forklifts, cranes, trailers, and other vehicles or heavy equipment required for assigned duties, when applicable.
