ResponsibilitiesEnsures all safety policies and guidelines are followed.Identifies restrictions and provides solutions.Responsible for ensuring that all safety equipment and tools are tracked, readily available, and maintained. Will be held responsible for tool audits.Responsible for ensuring product meets all quality expectations and reaction protocols are being followed and documented.Drive consistent manufacturing procedures and practices between crews. Complete all required documentation for the shift for proper handoff and tier meetings.Works with process engineering to ensure detailed documentation and implementation of key process and troubleshooting functions.Support training of all employees on current, new, or updated processes. Identify development opportunities.Follow up and provide detailed feedback on second-pass scrap fallout.Lead cost saving initiatives.Provide a bridge between night and day shift production to ensure consistency.Ensure correct operation of systems and subsystems on each production line.Assist in troubleshooting efforts with ongoing issues and monitor performance and parameters during shift; escalates to engineering as appropriate.Serve as SME for the creation and updating of SOP'sProvides process guidance to other employees.Knowledge of current operating procedures and the ability to stay current as procedures change.Responsible for all production activities in assigned production areas; rate, yield, uptime, standard work tracking, tool tracking, standard work audits, etc. Must collaborate with supporting functions and operators to optimize production.Ensures recipe compliance on each production line in the assigned area.Controls unplanned downtime – repairs/startup of the production lines.Report and document all environmental logs.Drive housekeeping and 5S efforts across assigned production area.Drive quality consistencies across assigned production areas following set specifications.Complete, document, and communicate filter changes.Facilitate production area training classes; both on and off shift.Provide production area relief for line operators during break time to maintain high uptime and yield.Responsible for entering and following through to completion both safety and production work orders.Other duties as assignedEducation and ExperienceHigh School diploma or equivalentMust be Machine Operator or aboveRequired Skills and QualificationsPrevious Trex manufacturing experience (3+ years)Must be at least a Machine Operator Certified on forklifts (up to G50)Man lift certification is requiredMust be able to collect and analyze large scales of data using ExcelStrong problem solving, communication, and organizational skillsTeamworkRespectful demeanor and communication styleWilling to train othersFlexibilityTechnically proficientPreferred Skills and QualificationsPrevious technical leadership experienceMachine Operator 2 experienceEssential FunctionsRegular and predictable attendance.Employee will be required to work within Microsoft Office applications.Must be able to operate plant machinery (forklifts, man lifts, etc.) and online systems (RFS, JDE, etc.)Physical RequirementsMust be able to work 12 hour shifts, standing for extended periods of timeMust be able to be forklift certified, requiring proper vision, hearing, and motor skillsMust be able to ascend and descend ladders, scaffolds, stairs and work in confined spaces and in proximity to loud equipment.Must be able to wear a respirator.Must be able to work at heights and properly wear fall protectionMust be able to lift and carry or otherwise move 50 pounds.Must be able and willing to comply with PPE requirements at all times.Must be able to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces.Must be able to work in hot environments and on concrete floors.Equal Opportunity EmployerThis employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
