As our service area expands, we're adding a tech-savvy, detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to strengthen our finance operations.What You'll Do (Summary)You'll own day-to-day Accounts Receivable + Accounts Payable work, keep records clean and accurate, and help improve processes using Excel/Google Sheets, our Accounting software, and digital document tools.Great role for someone who loves systems, spreadsheets, and getting things right.Tech-ForwardWe're a tech-forward company that uses modern tools to work faster and smarter. We use cloud tools and automation (including AI assistants) to reduce busywork you'll still be the human who checks accuracy and makes the call.Core ResponsibilitiesAccounts ReceivableProcess customer payments and maintain client billing recordsPrepare/send project invoices; track deposits and progress paymentsReconcile customer accounts; investigate and resolve discrepanciesProactively follow up on overdue accounts and assist with collectionsAccounts PayableProcess vendor invoices and ensure proper approvalPrepare payment batches for review by the ControllerMaintain vendor files and reconcile statementsMonitor and track project-related expensesProcess payments to service providers and suppliersAdministrative SupportAssist with filing and organizing financial documentationSupport month-end close processesHelp prepare financial reports and analysis as neededMaintain organized records for project expensesRequirementsMust-Have QualificationsAssociate's degree in Accounting/Business (or equivalent experience)2+ years in AP/AR (high-volume preferred)Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-throughClear written/verbal communication with customers and vendorsWorking knowledge of accounting basics (credits/debits, reconciliations)Technical Skills (Important):Excel/Google SheetsAccounting software with confident use.Digital workflow tools: PDF editors, e-signature, cloud file systems, and document management best practicesNice to Have (Helps You Stand Out)Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldExperience in construction or project-based accountingBackground in small business environmentExperience with document management systemsWhy You'll Like Working HereClear training plan + documented processesModern tools, minimal paperDirect access to leadership (your work matters)Stable schedule, no weekendsReal advancement opportunities in a growing companyHealth and Dental Insurance after 60 daysSchedule and HoursMonday through Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM, onsite.Join Our TeamIf you're a detail-oriented accounting professional looking to grow your career in a dynamic environment, we'd love to hear from you.
