This position is ideal for candidates looking for flexible, field-based work and an opportunity to gain experience with the CCWD. This is a temporary, part-time, non-benefited position with hours that may vary based on operational needs, staffing coverage, and workload demands. The job involves fieldwork requiring frequent walking in operational areas to identify problems or hazards and perform assigned duties. Finger dexterity is needed to operate tools and maintain and repair equipment. Employees must possess the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects averaging a weight of 25 pounds or heavier weights, with the use of proper equipment and/or assistance from other staff.ENVIRONMENTAL ELEMENTSEmployees work in the field and are exposed to loud noise levels, cold and hot temperatures, inclement weather conditions, road hazards, vibration, chemicals, mechanical and/or electrical hazards, hazardous physical substances and fumes, dust, and air contaminants.
