This role involves advanced equipment troubleshooting and mentoring junior loaders.\n\nWeigh trucks and railcars and adjust product quantities as directed.\nLabel containers, container tags, and products accurately.\nInspect materials, products, trucks, and railcars throughout the loading process.\nRecord shipment information, including weights, dates, times, product details, and required shipping documentation.\nApply and verify seals on railcars and bulk trucks and maintain accurate seal records.\nCollect and document product samples as required.\nOperate mobile equipment and position railcars on-site.\nComplete downtime tracking forms and control charts related to bulk loading operations.\nMaintain a clean and organized work area by removing trash, debris, and product spillage.\nFollow all safety procedures, safe lifting practices, and mobile equipment operating guidelines.\nUnderstand and follow bulk loading procedures, including contamination prevention measures.\nTroubleshoot operational issues as needed.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nRequired Qualifications:\nHigh school diploma or GED required.\nValid Mississippi driver's license required.\nCurrent forklift certification required.\nAbility to pass a job-specific basic skills assessment.\nStrong reading, writing, verbal communication, and basic math skills.\nBasic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and UltiPro.\nAbility to work safely and maintain high quality standards.\nStrong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.\nAbility to multitask in a fast-paced environment.\nAbility to work outdoors in all weather conditions.\nAbility to climb stairs and ladders, work from elevated platforms, and use hand tools.\nMSHA Part 46 (24-hour) training required prior to starting work.\nISO training required.\nMust be trained on all applicable ISO 9002 procedures.\nMust understand plant Lockout/Tagout/Tryout (LOTO) procedures and know the location of electrical disconnects within the work area.\nOn-the-job training provided for 30 days in accordance with the union agreement.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nMine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) experience.\nForklift operating experience.\nWarehouse or industrial manufacturing experience.\nExperience using computer software in an operational environment.\n\nU.S. Silica is a leading producer of industrial minerals essential to modern life.
