In this role you will be responsible for material availability for Assembly consumption. The primary focus for the Distribution Technician will be moving material to the assembly line via stand-up, or sit-down fork truck.Position NotesPlease include detailed work history to be considered, attached resume preferred.Candidates must be able to read, write, and conduct business in EnglishHourly pay range of $20.94-$26.69 plus 6% premium for off shifts. Higher rates offered based on experience.Candidates must complete the full hiring process which includes but not limited to: Caterpillar Online Production Assessment (COPA), successful completion of Interview, background check, post offer medical questionnaire, and drug screen.Candidates must successfully complete and pass Basic Assembly Training (BAT), which is completed as a part of the new-hire orientation and onboarding process.Job Duties/Responsibilities May Include, But Are Not Limited ToMoving material to the assembly line via stand-up or sit down fork truckHelping Stores Controller maintain inventory accuracy on production partsMaking sure material is delivered to point of use in FIFO order.Basic QualificationsMust have at least 1 year of stand-up fork truck experience.Must have good written and oral communication skills.Self-motivated, safety-conscious individual capable of working independently.Basic computer skills.Top Candidates Will AlsoBe flexible to work overtime as needed to support production demands. Possess and show strong interpersonal skills and apply customer-based focus.Physical RequirementsMust be able to lift, push, and pull up to 40 lbs. Must be able to bend and twist at the waist and be able to squat.Consistent usage of required PPE for task being performedStand on concrete for 8+ hours. Additional InformationLocation of this position is in Lafayette, INPosition available is on 2nd shift (2:30pm – 10:30pm)Relocation assistance is not offered for this position.
