In this role, you will serve as a primary point of contact for patients, helping coordinate communication between the Billing, Eligibility, Authorization, and Scheduling departments.This position plays a critical role in ensuring patients receive timely support and guidance throughout their treatment journey while allowing clinical and administrative departments to remain focused on core responsibilities.The ideal candidate is highly organized, customer-service oriented, and comfortable managing multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced medical office environment.ResponsibilitiesAnswer incoming patient phone calls professionally and efficientlySchedule, reschedule, and coordinate patient procedures and appointmentsRespond to billing-related questions and direct concerns appropriatelyAssist patients with insurance eligibility inquiriesProvide updates regarding authorization status and treatment approvalsConduct appointment follow-up communication and remindersMaintain accurate patient documentation and recordsSupport workflow efficiency across Billing, Eligibility, and Authorization departmentsDeliver exceptional customer service and patient support at all timesQualificationsMinimum of 1 year of experience working in a healthcare environment requiredExperience with medical scheduling, insurance verification, or medical billing preferredStrong customer service and phone communication skillsKnowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA regulations requiredExcellent organizational skills with strong attention to detailAbility to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environmentStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively within a teamExperience verifying insurance coverage, benefits, copays, and patient financial responsibility preferredUnderstanding of payment collection processes and treatment pricing is a plusBenefits401(k)Health InsuranceDental InsuranceVision InsurancePaid Time OffOn-the-job trainingWork LocationIn-person at our Odenton office
