Senior Cost Analyst

The RoleThe Senior Cost Analyst willbe responsible for partnering with our manufacturing sites to collect and understand data to drive business decisions. Our organizationhascomplexities to the manufacturing and production operations and it'simperativecriticalthat you understand all components from start tofinish. This position is hybrid and requires working 2x/weekonsite time either at our HQ office in the River North neighborhood ofChicago, or our Rolling Meadows office.ResponsibilitiesAssistin the planning, gathering, and collection of data from our different CPG sites todeterminecosts of business activity such as raw material purchases, inventory, labor, and overhead.Analyze changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturingmethods or services to determine effects on cost.Evaluateactual manufacturing costs and prepare periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costsRecord cost information for use in controlling expendituresAnalyze audits of costs and prepare reportsMake estimates of new and proposed product costsProvide management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products or services.Responsible for maintaining BOMs, variance analysis, andconsolidatedreportingOversee processing and payment of vendor invoicesSpecial projects and ad-hoc reporting asrequiredAssistin month end close of the General LedgerConduct physical inventories andmonitorcycle count programReconcile finished goods, rawmaterialand packaging inventoryCollaborate in cross-functional capacity to meet business needsConduct ad hoc analyses, special projects, and other duties as assignedQualificationsBachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business-related field,Master's Degreeor CPA certification, preferred3+years experiencein cost accounting within CPG or manufacturingAdvancedproficiencyin MS Excel and MS OfficerequiredHighly motivated, self-directed,innovativeand able to work independently or among teams with keen judgement, commonsenseand resourcefulnessAdapts and thrives in a demanding, start-up, fast-paced environmentSuperior communication and interpersonal skills (verbal, non-verbal, written), with the ability to build relationships at all levels, both internally and externallyPossessesa high levelof critical thinkingPositive attitude and solution-oriented mindsetStrong prioritization and time management skillsOperates witha high levelof professionalism and integrity, including dealing with confidential informationAdditional RequirementsMust pass any and all required background checksMust be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industryThe pay range is competitive and based on experience, qualifications, and/or location of the role. Positions may be eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program driven by organization and individual performance. Green Thumb Pay Range $85,000—$105,000 USD
