Our commitment to promoting from within shouldgive you hope and optimism about your career prospects with us.Required ResponsibilitiesSupervisory and Management Supervise a part of the Inbound department Manage and supervise the work of assignedemployees within the department Motivate and inspire team members to performabove expectations through proper recognition methods and programs. Ensure that all policies and procedures arefollowed per Newrest and client’s requirements Communicate effectively with all crew membersand team members Hold team members accountable for allexpectations Other job duties may be assigned based onoperational needOperational Take ownership of the operations by taking fullresponsibility for your assigned area Ensure that all carts are filled accurately,promptly, and with high quality according to the datasheets and clients’requirements Ensure that processes are as efficient aspossible Empower team members to identify and resolveoperational issues Bring up to management’s attention any concernsand recommendations for such concerns Communicate with the warehouse department aboutany stock item needs Foresee needs or problems that may arise andhave action plans in place to avoid production disruptions Clearly and confidently communicate with clientrepresentatives as needed Fill in as needed to maintain the flow ofoperations Other job duties may be assigned based onoperational needQuality and Safety Ensure that all processes conform to thecustomer and Newrest specifications Always comply with good hygiene andmanufacturing practices (e.g., hazard analysis and critical control points[HACCP], FIFO) Carry out cleaning, washing, and sanitation ofpremises by cleaning plan Investigate and complete incidents/accidentsdocumentation Enforce safety processes and legal requirementsfor all processes Other job duties may be assigned based onoperational needAdministrative Task Assist in interviewing and determining theindividuals to join your department Approve time off requests and other leaves ofabsence Assist in performing performance reviews for alldepartment team members Approve all timecards and resolve timecarddiscrepancies Mentor and coach team members and providecorrective actions as required Regular and timely attendance is expected forthe position. Other job duties may be assigned based onoperational needEducation/Experience Requirements High School Diploma required. College or Technical Training is a plus but notrequired. At least two years of experiencesupervising/managing people, preferably in a warehouse/distribution environment At least two years of experience leading a teamof 50 + Good leadership ability Good communication skills with the ability tocommunicate with non-exempt and upper management levels Ability to effectively handle conflict andde-escalate emotionally charged situations Good understanding of OSHA, HR, and otheremployment laws Good knowledge of investigation procedures androot cause analysis Understanding of lean manufacturing principlesand operational processes Good knowledge of HACCP & food safetystandards Good problem-solving and decision-making skills Resilient self-starter who can act independentlyand learn quickly within a rapidly evolving environment Aptitude in showing self-initiative andfollow-through Good ability with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Excellent organizational and motivational skills Good attention to detail and observation abilityPhysical EnvironmentThe physical demands described here represent those that anemployee must meet to perform the essential responsibilities of this jobsuccessfully. You must stand, walk, talk, listen regularly, and use your hands tohandle or feel. You must also lift, push, and move up to 50 pounds.
