Travelodge Night Auditor/Gift Shop Cashier

Night Auditor – Guest Services RepresentativeSalary Range: $17.50 per hourDepartment: HotelReports To: Hotel and/or Assistant Hotel SupervisorJob Summary: The night auditor – guest services representative is responsible for providing the hotel guests with superior customer service through the effective management of the hotel's front desk operations and the computerized property management and guest room reservation system.Duties and Responsibilities:Review hotel daily business transactions and verify that transactions for each shift are balanced.Verify that all credit card transactions are balanced for each shift.Accurately record hotel guest room reservations.Perform check in and check out of hotel guests and process payment for cost of guest's lodging.Post all other payments, charges and credits to the guests account and to the city ledger (accounts receivable) account.Complete a balanced report on all transactions at the end of one's scheduled shift.Provide local and special event information to hotel guests.Establish and maintain a working relationship with the hotel manager, assistant hotel manager, housekeeping, laundry and maintenance supervisors and other department supervisors.Assures courteous, friendly and professional guest service.Process gift shop purchases, cash or credit cardStock and clean gift shopMinimum Job Requirements:Education: High school diploma preferred.Experience: Prior front desk, night audit or customer service experience Preferred.Specific skills: Communication skills, ability to accept responsibility and work independently. Must be computer literate and proficient with the hotel's property management system. Must be pleasant, poised and able to deal with the public.Working Conditions: Indoors and possess the ability to perform the front desk duties for the entire length of the scheduled shift.Working Attire: Travelodge logo shirt with business casual pants and neat and clean in appearance.This job description reflects management's assignment of essential duties and responsibilities.
