To help create the future of surgery, they are building a best-in-class team and are looking for Manufacturing Technicians II.Manufacturing Technician II is primarily responsible for providing updates to the line lead/engineers on build/work status. In addition, identifies problems with recommendations for improvement or correction. Assists in modifying procedures to improve equipment operation or processes. Join our team to take part in this unique and exciting new product introduction.Key Responsibilities:Updates Manufacturing leadership on work status or problems with recommendations for improvement or correction.Troubleshoot electrical, test, mechanical, facilities or hydraulic systems, components, and equipment.Applies nonstandard test techniques where normal procedures do not fulfill testing needs.Checks tools and test equipment for proper calibration and repair according to standard operating procedures.Performs cross-functional communication and coordination with various teams to align to production schedule this will support day-to-day tactical actions in support of the line lead and SupervisorUtilize MES in day-to-day operations during production activitiesPrepared to support not only assembly efforts on the production floor, but also support all repairs & reworkWill be required to learn and attain proficiency with additional areas of production as requiredWill support and strive to be proficient in troubleshooting processes within the subsystem and more (as needed)Records assignments and prepares documentation concerning materials, parts used, concepts, designs, drawings, and processes.Administers test protocols and documents results. Coordinates the manufacturing phase of new products or product changes.Responds to safety issues by recommending and implementing a resolution. Completes specialized studies or experiments and prepares reports on results.Employee will need to be familiar with Kanban day-to-day production.Qualifications and RequirementsVocational training Certificate, Technical or Associates degree preferred** or equivalentProof of a High School diplomaA minimum of 2-4 years of equivalent work experience requiredMust have experience as a Manufacturing technician for a Type I or II medical device company or complex electromechanical capital equipment manufacturer, with hands-on experience with Good Documentation Practices (GDP) or the equivalent.Electrical troubleshooting experience such as proper use of multimeter, isolation, grounding, use oscilloscope to aid problem solving.Proficient at multiple assembly and test tasks while meeting requirements for workmanship, safety and productivityRelevant demonstrated experience with anti-static/ESD principles and controls.1-2 years of minimum experience as an assembler, tester, or associate of a Type II or Type III medical device company or complex electromechanical capital equipment manufacturerAbility to work overtime (as needed by business). These hours will vary from starting before 6 am and extending beyond 2:30 pm to include weekends.Ability to communicate with cross-functional stakeholders within their team.Works well with a diverse team of different skill sets. Willingness to learn and grow.Proficient at Kanban Operations and GDP processesFamiliar with not only manufacturing production & assembly but also testing procedures that involve Ubuntu software and MES.Efficient ability to communicate effectively with teams and communicate messaging with leadership to problem solve will require initiative and collaborationInitiative in day-to-day activitiesProblem solveGreat at following, reading, and understanding instructionsFamiliar with assembly tools, torque wrenches, screwdrivers, hand drivers, tweezers, calipers, multimeter, IPA, various presses, and adhesives (Loctite)Preferred: Experience with using Learning Management Systems such as Cornerstone, AGILE PLM, MES, and SAP.Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday; work hours may vary between 6:00 am to 2:30 pm (1st shift) or 10 am-6:30 pm (2nd shift). Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. This role is based in Santa Clara.
