JOB DESCRIPTION: The Audio-Visual Project Manager is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion of specific AV projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments, and goals. Leveraging AVIXA standards and guidelines, the AV Project Manager will lead projects from the initial concept through to completion, ensuring the highest levels of quality and client satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage AV projects, including client liaison, scheduling, budgeting, and resource management. Develop comprehensive project plans that merge customer requirements with company goals and coordinate various managers and technical personnel during all project phases. Ensure all AV projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. Oversee and direct the project team, including subcontractors and vendors, to ensure effective collaboration and project success. Maintain and apply a strong understanding of AVIXA guidelines and industry best practices to ensure the highest quality of project delivery. Conduct site surveys and project briefings, manage risk assessments, and execute project documentation. Proactively identify and manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans. Provide regular project updates to senior management and stakeholders. Foster relationships with clients and key partners. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations on project sites. Skills and Abilities: Able to analyze complex problems and generate solutions Understand all revenue, cost and margin aspects of project management Effective communication and interaction with employees, clients and colleagues Troubleshoot and solve project related issues Understand and maintain project budgets Effectively manage multiple projects Demonstrate time management skills with attention to detail Ability to interpret engineering schematics and to communicate design intent to the employees and other internal and external project team members Understand technical and construction documents Understand AV system functionality and installation processes and techniques Knowledgeable of low voltage electrical and security projects Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Microsoft Project and Adobe Acrobat Valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Project Management, Audiovisual Technology) or equivalent experience. Professional project management certification (e.g., PMP) is highly desirable. AVIXA CTS (Certified Technology Specialist) certification or equivalent. Proven experience in AV project management, demonstrating successful delivery of AV projects. Strong understanding of current AV technologies and trends. Excellent communication, leadership, and client service skills. Proficient in project management software and tools. Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
