Responsibilities The Digital Experience Mobile team at State Farm is seeking a Technical Administrator to help keep the award-winning State Farm mobile app reliable, performant, and ready for the millions of customers who depend on it every day. In this role, you'll play a key part in production support and incident resolution—monitoring application health and investigating, analyzing, and resolving customer-reported issues using observability and logging tools such as Splunk and Dynatrace to identify root cause. You'll triage incidents, partner with engineers and downstream service teams on fixes and mitigations and clearly communicate progress and resolution status to both customers and internal stakeholders. When network, API, or service issues arise, you'll assess customer impact and help teams explore solutions that minimize disruption, including invoking and validating backend services using API tools.You'll also support and maintain the infrastructure, networks, services, and testing environments our applications rely on, including proactive monitoring and coordination of recurring installations, conversions, and updates. You'll automate tasks, tests, and test data generation through scripting and coding (such as JavaScript) to improve efficiency and stability. In addition, you'll work with mobile testing platforms such as Perfecto to support and continuously improve mobile testing infrastructure and processes, helping ensure smooth releases across the full chain of environment, network, API, service, and infrastructure dependencies. Strong documentation (runbooks and known-issue records) and effective communication will be essential as you translate technical findings for both technical and non‐technical audiences. Qualifications Competitive candidates will have: Experience investigating and resolving technical issues using observability and logging tools (such as Splunk or Dynatrace) to identify root cause and articulate customer impact Ability to troubleshoot network, API, and service issues, including invoking and validating backend services with API tools (such as Insomnia or Bruno) Experience automating tasks and tests through coding or scripting (such as JavaScript), including test data generation and test environment maintenance Familiarity with mobile testing platforms (such as Perfecto) and a passion for continuously improving testing infrastructure and processes Understanding of the mobile app release process and the environment, network, API, service, and infrastructure dependencies that impact mobile applications Additional Skills: Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical findings for both technical and non‐technical audiences Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment Experience partnering across engineering, product, testing, and business teams to achieve shared goals Strong documentation habits, including maintaining runbooks and known‐issue records to support incident management Curiosity, adaptability, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences Our Benefits Salary and Incentives: Potential starting salary range: $97,000 - $149,000 Starting salary will be based on skills, background, and experience High end of the range limited to applicants with significant relevant experience Potential yearly incentive pay up to 15% of base salary At State Farm, we offer more than just a paycheck.
