This candidate plays an important role carrying out a range of responsibilities to include:\nResponsibilities:\nDesigning fast and efficient DSP algorithms for implementation on embedded processors.\nArchitect and implement bare metal, RTOS-based, and Linux firmware designs.\nAnalyzing the performance impact of algorithms by estimating the processing resources such as MIPS, ROM and RAM.\nCoordinating software and hardware development activities with other engineers such as prototyping and tuning algorithms and testing performance\nResearch on new technologies and how they can be incorporated in VOCALs custom products for improvement.\nRequired Qualifications:\nMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.\n+7 Years Experience Req\nPreferred Qualifications:\nDesigning, developing, and testing real-time systems (signal processing algorithms)\nSignificant development experience in implementing DSP modules in embedded real-time environments such as commercial DSPs, ARMs in C or C++\nExcellent understanding of wired and wireless communications systems and digital signal processing of analog and digital waveforms for transmit and receive functions\nApplying principles, methods, and applications of communication theory such as (signal processing,) decision theory, estimation theory, and modulation-demodulation\nSystems Engineering (data communications architectures, telecom network design, protocol analysis and selection)\nExperience with computer networking protocols (TCP/UDP/IP, RTP, MPLS, NDN)\nEmbedded Hardware Interfacing: SPI, TDM, Ethernet, USB, I2C\nTelecom Protocol Standards: ITU-T, IETF, 3GPP\nDemonstrated creative, critical thinking and troubleshooting skills, strong collaborative skills, strong written and verbal communication\nEducation Requirements:\nMaster’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.\n10+ years of working experience in lieu of degree.\nThis is a full time position located at:\nCommons, 520 Lee Entrance #202, Buffalo, NY 14228\nAbout VOCAL Technologies Ltd\nVOCAL Technologies is a design house dedicated to providing innovative solutions to our customers engineering problems.
