Conducts verification and validation testing and/or analysis and recommends improvements in testing equipment and techniques.\n\nWorking Procedure\n\nResponsible for the design, development, testing and implementation of engineering processes, methods and products\n\nWorks independently under light technical oversight of engineering supervisors and/or senior engineers on projects or subsystems of a technical nature\n\nPrepare major complex portions of written documentation in a team environment to include engineering drawings, engineering standards, engineering specifications, technical proposals, technical manuals, disclosures and scientific discoveries\n\nAssist in the formulation of systems requirements\n\nWorks as part of integrated product teams with other cross functional professional employees in the execution of engineering functions. Will act as team leader for appropriate tasks\n\nReceives guidance from, and interfaces with, peers, senior engineers and other professional employees in the execution of engineering functions\n\nProvide technical leadership within the section for recognized discipline\n\nProvides guidance to junior engineers and Integrated Product Team members\n\nPlan and organize the responsibilities for a broad spectrum of assignments with occasional guidance\n\nDefines and analyzes the technical requirements for assigned engineering tasks\n\nGenerates, modifies and upgrades mathematical models to predict design performance\n\nUses commercial and proprietary simulation tools in developing and evaluating designs\n\nAcquires information from all relevant sources, including industry and governments standards, handbooks, textbooks and reference manuals\n\nAssists in the development and maintenance of TCOM design guidelines and practices\n\nKnowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models\n\nFollows industry and internal design guidelines and methodologies\n\nAnalyzes information and evaluates results to choose the best solution to meet design requirements\n\nConducts and supports internal and customer design reviews\n\nGenerates reports, white papers and technical memoranda\n\nPerform research and analysis of technical issues to develop solutions to meet design objectives\n\nWorks to complete tasks within cost and schedule constraints. Provides status and feedback on task progress\n\nProvide feedback and make recommendations to improve designs and reduce cost and/or schedule\n\nDocuments the design development\n\nUse the infrastructure to accomplish objectives\n\nSupport production, testing and field operations in improving designs\n\nApplies scientific principles, tools and techniques to achieve practical end results. Tools are objective in nature utilizing quantitative or analytical techniques\n\nMaintain engineering skills consistent with advances in technology\n\nSupport multiple assignments of increasing responsibility\n\nPerform other duties and responsibilities as assigned\n\nEducation Requirement\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering, in a related discipline.\n\nExperience Requirement\nMinimum of five years of engineering experience. Advanced degree can be substituted for job experience pending review.\n\nIn compliance with state and local laws, the salary range for this role is $92,000-$149,000. The range provided is a general guideline and good faith estimate representative of all experience levels but is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. TCOM considers several factors when extending an offer including, but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, a candidate’s experience, education/training, key skills, internal equity, and current market conditions. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
