Supporting the world's bravest.Job SummaryJoin our team as an EHS Specialist and help keep our workplace safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible. You'll support daily safety and environmental programs in a manufacturing setting, create and maintain key documentation (SDS, labels, shipping and waste records), and help coordinate hazardous waste and chemical handling activities. You'll also assist with audits and inspections, track and close out corrective actions, support preventive maintenance efforts, and build simple reports and metrics while working closely with operations, management, and customers to resolve questions quickly and professionally.Job ResponsibilitiesDaily activities focused on implementation of Environmental Protection and Employee Safety policies, procedures and guidelinesPrepare Safety Data Sheet (SDS), master labels and other documentation as neededAid management with safety and regulatory auditsCoordinate the hazardous waste manifest proceduresMovement of chemicals and hazardous wasteAssist in the administration with customer inquiries on shipping, handling, and disposal of chemicalsAssist in generating literature for orders, MSDS, etcAudit, development corrective actions and oversee correction of self-audit findingsSupport implementation of an effective preventive maintenance program to ensure the stewardship of DRS assetsResponds to problems and issues in a tactful and expedient mannerSupports facilities inspections and reporting requirementsCollects data and generates reports and metricsQualifications* A minimum of 2 years of experience in EHS in a manufacturing environment, assisting in the implementation of an effective EH&S programU.S. Citizenship required.Taking care of our people is a top priority at Leonardo DRS.
