Personal Assistant Caregiver

Duties
Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
Monitor patients’ health by checking vital signs and observing for any changes in condition or behavior
Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences, ensuring proper nutrition and hydration
Administer medications following care plans and HIPAA regulations to maintain safety and compliance
Operate assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs to ensure safe transfers and mobility support
Maintain detailed documentation of care provided, patient observations, and any incidents in accordance with care plans and privacy standards
Support clients in engaging with their community through social activities, outings, or recreational programs
Skills
Proven experience in home health, assisted living, nursing homes, or group homes caring for seniors or individuals with disabilities
Knowledge of dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, memory care, autism spectrum disorder, and developmental disabilities
Certifications in CPR, First Aid, HIPAA compliance, and medication administration are highly desirable
Strong patient observation skills to identify changes in health status or behavior promptly
Ability to perform light to heavy lifting safely while assisting clients with mobility or transfers
Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams
Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge and safe operation of the Hoyer lift, including proper sling placement, equipment checks, transfer procedures, and adherence to all safety protocols.
