Job Title: Home Health Scheduler, ContractLocation: San Marcos, CAEmployment Type: ContractWork Environment: OnsiteSchedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PMPay Rate: $21 – $23 per hourPosition OverviewWheeler Staffing Partners is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Home Health Scheduler to support daily scheduling operations for clinical staff and patient visits. This role is critical to ensuring continuity of care through efficient coordination, real-time schedule management, and effective communication with staff, patients, and families. This is a contract position. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, excels at multitasking, and has a strong understanding of healthcare scheduling workflows and compliance standards.Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate and manage daily schedules for clinical staff and patient visitsSchedule start-of-care visits within required timeframesAssign visits based on care plans, staff availability, and geographic efficiencyVerify plan of care approvals prior to scheduling servicesSchedule supervisory visits in compliance with regulatory guidelinesEnsure therapy reassessments are scheduled according to required timelinesFinalize weekly schedules by end of business day each FridayUpdate schedules for missed, rescheduled, or reassigned visits and communicate changesAdjust schedules throughout the care episode based on patient and service updatesMonitor hospitalized patients and coordinate scheduling upon dischargeReview documentation and coordination notes for accuracyOptimize staff utilization through efficient scheduling and routingCollaborate with clinical leadership to ensure productivity expectations are metCommunicate scheduling issues or operational concerns to managementMaintain confidentiality and compliance when handling patient informationReporting & AnalyticsGenerate and review daily and weekly scheduling and operational reportsMonitor visit status, staff responses, and scheduling gapsReview utilization and service reports to ensure efficiency and complianceAdministrative ResponsibilitiesProcess electronic workflows and administrative tasks within required timelinesAnswer phones and communicate professionally via phone, email, and written correspondenceParticipate in meetings, training sessions, and development activitiesAssist with on-call rotation as neededPerform general office duties and special projects as assignedQualificationsMinimum of 1 year of scheduling or related experience requiredHome health or healthcare scheduling experience preferredExperience with electronic medical record systems preferredStrong organizational and multitasking abilitiesExcellent communication and customer service skillsAbility to manage high-volume scheduling in a fast-paced environmentHigh attention to detail and accuracyEducationHigh School Diploma or GED requiredTechnical SkillsProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)Familiarity with scheduling systems and healthcare workflowsAdditional RequirementsSuccessful completion of background checkDrug screening may be requiredWhy Work with Wheeler Staffing Partners?Wheeler Staffing Partners connects top talent with leading organizations across multiple industries.
