As the Cold Header / Thread Roller/Trainee at PennEngineering, you'll collaborate with teams that do truly amazing things and participate in an operator training program.\n\nJoin us as we build the future in Manufacturing and Engineering!\n\nPERKS AND BENEFITS:\n\nMedical, 401K, paid time off, tuition reimbursement\nPaid, on the job training.\nPerformance incentive bonuses quarterly\nAir-conditioned work environment\n1st and 2nd shift opportunities\nCommunity volunteering\nOnsite Gym\n\nWHAT YOU WILL DO:\n\nWith direction and assistance from the trainer, mentor or set-up person, sets-up and operates cold heading and thread rolling machines.\nWorks from detailed Engineering drawings, process control documents, training manuals, current best practices and work instructions to produce quality parts.\nUses precision measuring devices including—but not limited to—micrometers, dial calipers, optical comparators, tri-roll gauges and various other gauges.\nUses shop support equipment as needed to prepare dies for use in cold heading and thread rolling machines.\nWith assistance troubleshoots machine malfunctions, replaces worn and broken tooling, and makes all machine adjustments necessary to produce parts within specified tolerances.\nObtains correct Job Packet(s) from Cold Heading Tool Crib area, which include routers, part drawings, specifications, and SPC trend charts.\nAccesses correct bill of materials from a computer located on the shop floor.
