Once the training period is completed, the employees hired for the second shift will transition to their regular second-shift schedule.\n\nJob Summary:\n\nSafely and efficiently operate a stamping press and producing Quality stamped parts. The primary focus is Safety, Quality, and efficient production techniques by utilizing Array's standards and procedures. Maintaining a continuous Improvement attitude with a willingness to adopt new ideas/skills.\n\nKey Job Responsibilities:\n\nOperate stamping Presses as required - including any auxiliary equipment.\n5-S as a PRIORITY - Keep station clean and orderly.\nInitiate press start-up and adjustments as required after a set-up.\nChangeover & Set-up of stamping dies and presses.\nAdjust process parameters as dictated from the Die Set-up sheet.\nSet-up and adjust auxiliary equipment as required: coil feeders, straighteners, etc.\nTrack and report Downtime data accurately using downtime clocks,\nComplete required Production documentation: including Downtime, Production, Quality, 5-S, and TPM.\nHourly update of Production Tracking Log.\nPart Inspection per Inspection Instructions. This includes visual inspections, using checking fixtures, gauges, precision measurement equipment & associated measurements per print & at specified intervals.\nFinal visual audit inspection of all parts leaving press area for quality.\nFollow Containment procedures in the event of contaminated product.\nProduction tagging/labeling to maintain inventory accuracies.\nVerify Production schedule.\nDie Set-up sheets - report updated information to Leaders as needed.\nEscalate problems according to the escalation procedure.\nChange coiled material when needed.\nReport on all Quality, Production or Safety problems to the production supervisor.\nPerform & maintain 5-S Standards in area of responsibility.\nPerforming Preventive Maintenance activities are completed as required.\nWrite & follow up on Work Orders as needed for repairs in assigned area.\nSuggest methods of improvement, (i.e. Continuous Improvement Plan & Performance Award Program).\nOperate the crane to load coils on Coils Cars.\nOperate forklift to change over dies.\nAvailable for overtime as required.\n\nQualifications:\n\nAbility to read & interpret blueprints.\nAbility to conduct basic maintenance or mechanical activities as required.\nAbility to use measurement instruments: calipers, micrometers, gauging, etc.\nAccountable - Teachable – Approachable.\nAbility to learn, make decisions, and be creative & flexible.\nAbility to solve problems.\nCapable of lifting 50 pounds.\nHigh school diploma or GED – Minimum.\nBasic computer skills.\nDemonstrated basic math skills.\nDemonstrated ability to read and understand English.\n\nPreferred Qualifications:\n\nPrefer 2 years of operating & setting up progressive and/or transfer dies.\nDemonstrated use of measurement instruments: calipers, micrometers, gauging, etc.\nProficient Math, Computer, & Communication skills.\nDemonstrated ability to read & interpret blueprints.\n\nTraining Requirements:\n\nNew Hire Orientation\nPMA Press Training\nISO 9001\nTPM\nIn-Die Sensoring\nQDC / SMED Training\n5's\nBasic GD&T / Blueprint interpretation\nAvailable for on & off-site Training as deemed appropriate.\nCrane Operation\nForklift Operation\n\nPhysical Demands:\n\nLifting requirements: Ability to lift up to 50lbs. to 37 inches high.\nVertical Lift requirements: Ability to lift up to 42 lbs. to 52 inches high.\nCarry requirements: Ability to carry up to 50 lbs. for a minimum of 50 feet.\nWork environment is fast paced, and the noise and temperature levels can vary.\n\nSafety:\n\nIf your role requires the wearing of steel-toed boots, the company will reimburse employees $125 per pair every year.\nIf your role requires the wearing of prescription safety glasses, the company will reimburse employees $200 every two years.\nArray operates under strict guidelines and safety standards.
