Job Description
We are currently looking for a Senior Drainage Engineer to work in our Atlanta, GA or Raleigh, NC office. Other remote opportunities are available in Tennessee. The ideal candidate should possess a desire to work for a fast-paced, growing, “never a dull moment” business and meet the qualifications listed below.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
Professional Engineer license required
Minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience in a related field
Plan production experience and knowledge of Microstation is required
Knowledge of StormCAD, Geopak Drainage, OpenRoads, HY8, and/or CivilStorm is preferred
Design-build experience a plus
Proficient in DOT requirements and procedures, specifically drainage, stormwater, and / or erosion control components
GDOT experience preferred
General working knowledge of fundamental engineering principles including surveying, geometric design, hydraulics, hydrology, stormwater management, grading, pavement design, etc.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Responsibilities
Applicant will work on projects that focus on drainage design, culvert design, stormwater design, and erosion control plan development for roadway projects, with a focus on the design-build projects.
Typical projects will include drainage pipe design calculations, spread calculations, ditch capacity analysis, culvert design and inlet design, technical reports, and plan production.
Develop Erosion, Sedimentation, and Pollution Control Plans specifically for roadway projects
Develop drainage layouts, profiles, and drainage area maps for incorporation in roadway plans
Develop drainage and stormwater reports for roadway projects
Visit job sites for inspection and evaluation of drainage systems and other hydraulic components
Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate
