The role focuses on supporting existing infrastructure and helping design and build future infrastructure needs.\nThe ideal candidate has hands-on experience designing CI/CD pipelines, supporting deployment, rollback, artifact management, managing infrastructure, and partnering closely with software engineers in fast-paced, iterative development environments.\nThis position does have the ability to work remote, but the ideal candidate will be located near Newport News, VA with the ability to be on site if needed.\nPrimary Responsibilities:\nPromote best practices for infrastructure automation, platform reliability, deployment workflows, and environment management.\nProvide technical oversight and informed guidance on cloud platforms, container orchestration, and CI/CD implementation.\nEstablish a DevOps roadmap that aligns the infrastructure capabilities with upcoming opportunities, working closely with solution architects and business development to understand requirements and ensure the infrastructure is available to support the business needs.\nContribute to process improvement initiatives that increase team efficiency, service quality, and scalability.\nDrive consistency in DevSecOps practices, tooling, standards, and operational support models across projects.\nPartner with engineering, architecture, security, and program leadership to align DevSecOps capabilities with business and technical needs.\nTrack incoming requirements, forecast resource needs, identify skill gaps, and recommend hiring or cross-training strategies.\nSupport delivery teams by removing blockers, resolving escalations, and ensuring timely execution of DevOps-related work.\nMerge code during release rolls into develop, release candidate and master branches.\nBasic Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree with 8+ years of experience or a Master’s degree with 6+ years of experience. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.\nUS Citizen with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI security clearance within 365 days.\nExperience in DevOps, platform engineering, systems engineering, or related technical roles.\nStrong understanding of DevSecOps principles, infrastructure automation, and software delivery lifecycle practices.\nPowerShell scripting experience.\nKnowledge of Windows and Linux system administration.\nExperience with CI/CD pipelines and related tools for build, test, deployment, and release automation.\nExperience with Git-based source control workflows and branching strategies\nStrong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.\nAbility to translate technical constraints and opportunities into actionable plans for leadership and project teams.\nExperience with vulnerability management, compliance checks and security scanning.\nExperience working within Agile/Scrum environments using Jira, Confluence or similar collaboration tools.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nUS Citizen with an active TS/SCI security clearance.\nTechnical background in infrastructure as code, configuration management, and platform automation.\nFamiliarity with tools such as Docker, Jenkins, Bitbucket, MSBuild, Docker Swarm, Puppet or similar.\nKnowledge of observability, monitoring, logging, and site reliability concepts.\nExposure to virtualization technologies such as Hyper-V.\nUnderstanding of networking fundamentals including DNS, load balancing, certificates, firewalls and reverse proxies.\nFamiliar with Active Directory.\nDABAOPP1\nIf you're looking for comfort, keep scrolling.
