This position works with a variety of internal and external teams to drive engineering and technical project management activities relating to gas turbine combustion modifications, and upgrades. Candidate will be part of a multi-disciplinary design team working on Industrial Gas Turbine (IGT) combustion components and systems to meet performance and design criteria such as combustion stability, operability, emissions, pressure drop, life, and cost across multiple engine frames.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nThe essential functions of the job include, but are not limited to, the following:\nLead combustion system development projects, interfacing with other teams in the organization including Supply Chain, Gas Turbine (GT) Conversions, and Field Services.\nGenerate schedules, identify critical path activities, and align resources to ensure on time delivery of designs, manufactured parts, procurement of components and contractors, and on-site execution.\nSetup and coordinate design and risk reviews per engineering design procedures, highlighting top project risks, assisting in the development of mitigation strategies and addressing all action items.\nSupport sales and tendering with project cost estimates and provide direction for site walkdown support during the bid phase.\nReport project status and milestones to upper management.\nRefine existing engineering procedures or develop new ones for continuous efficiency & quality improvement as well as lower execution cost.\nDesign Industrial Gas Turbine Engine components and systems to meet fit, form and functional requirements and design criteria\nSupport the continued development and oversee the adherence to PSM design systems including job folders and documentation, technical reviews, drawings and engineering changes and field validation plans and verification\nUtilize appropriate design/analysis tools, such as Creo, ANSYS, Microsoft Excel or similar\nAssess needs and identify critical path schedules for design, manufacturing and procurement activities\nCreate, lead and/or deliver presentations to internal and external clients\nOther duties as assigned\n\nMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS\nEducation & Training\nBachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field\nEquivalent industry experience will also be considered\nMust complete EHS assigned regulatory training for work area as described by PSM’s EHS Training Matrix'\nSkills/Experience\n10+ years of applicable experience in the GT industry, with 5+ years of experience related to Gas Turbine product development.\nStrong analytical decision-making and organizational skills are required\nExperience with 3D CAD software – Creo, NX, Solidworks\nKnowledge of various manufacturing processes, general machining and fabrication techniques\nStrong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills are required\nStrong skills with MS Office programs.
