{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"b8b7461ddd165cca92a844d1","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/b8b7461ddd165cca92a844d1","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/b8b7461ddd165cca92a844d1","title":"Technical Program Manager","description":"Overview The Technical Program Manager will be a key member of the Power System Divisions Controls and Relays Group, leading new product development of software, embedded software, and electronic control projects by leveraging industry standard best practices and software development playbook.\r\nResponsibilities Lead activities related to new product development including planning, estimating, designing, peer review, integration, and release using software development best practices.\r\nPartner with product owners and the development team to ensure all requirements and specifications of embedded software subsystems are defined.\r\nCollaborate to strategically investigate, leverage, and deploy industry standard techniques to stage new product development and improve quality, efficiency, and collaboration.\r\nLead, develop, and manage scope and project schedules.\r\nParticipate in system interface design activities and conduct design reviews with stakeholders.\r\nCommunicate plans, estimates, risks, and status on product development to leadership.\r\nCollaborate with external and internal customers throughout the product development life cycle.\r\nInvestigate gaps in project execution processes and contribute to continuous improvements and road-mapping activities.\r\nFacilitate productivity by removing impediments and mediating conflicts to help teams make decisions and adhere to continuous improvement principles.\r\nFacilitate and monitor the Scrum process from initiation through delivery, coordinating and encouraging participation from all team members in scrum ceremonies.\r\nQualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.\r\nMinimum of five (5) years experience in embedded systems or embedded software development.\r\nBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or equivalent.\r\nExperience leading technical resources in large cross-functional / cross-geographic projects to execute new product development.\r\nKnowledge of new product development and design with multi-core embedded systems and real-time operating system (RTOS) concepts.\r\nKnowledge of scrum processes and ceremonies (Daily Scrum, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Planning, Sprint Retro).\r\nDemonstrated competencies in staging new product development that meet or exceed product requirements with appropriate technical tradeoffs for constrained resources.\r\nExperience using SDLC (software development life cycle) management tools in a team environment (e.g., Jira, Git, etc.).\r\nKnowledge of power systems, switchgear and regulator controls products/applications is an added advantage.\r\nKnowledge of designing real-time control systems that use network protocols such as Serial, TCP/IP, Ethernet.\r\nEffectively work in an Agile Scrum (or other iterative development) environment.\r\nBasic understanding of cybersecurity.\r\nGood communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.\r\nSelf-starter with the ability to operate effectively with minimal supervision.\r\nLegal and EEO Statement We are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
