Rehab Service Tech Report to: Director of RehabClassification: Full-Time, Non-ExemptJob Description:Equipment Setup & MaintenanceAssemble or modify rehab equipment based on client assessmentsInspect equipment for safety and functionPerform basic troubleshooting and repairs of custom powerchairs and custom manual wheelchairs in-shop or in the fieldCoordinate equipment returns, demos, and loanersMaintain accurate documentation (serial numbers, service dates, etc.) Delivery & Client Support Deliver and set up custom powerchairs, custom manual wheelchairs, and other custom equipment in patient homesProvide basic instruction on equipment useAssess patient homes for safety and equipment compatibilityCommunicate client needs or changes in condition to the team Warehouse & Inventory Receive and stock new equipmentClean, stage, and organize items per company standardsReport shipment damages or shortagesMaintain accurate inventory records Repair & Troubleshooting Diagnose and repair damaged or malfunctioning custom rehab equipmentModify existing equipment per client requirements Use test equipment such as digital multimetersPrepare repair quotes and warranty paperwork as needed Quality Assurance Ensure all equipment is cleaned, safe, and operational before deliveryMaintain proper documentation for all rental and repaired equipmentKeep updated files for equipment manuals and service logs Physical Requirements Must be able to lift up to 300 lbs (with or without assistance)Frequent standing, bending, and reachingAble to operate delivery vehicles safely Experience/Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalentMinimum 2 years of experience in custom mobility equipment repair and electronics on motorized wheelchairsExperience with warehouse or delivery operationsUnderstanding of custom rehab equipmentValid driver's license with clean driving record
