Office locations include: Phoenix (AZ), Roseville (CA), Reno (NV).Job OverviewThe Capital Allocation Analyst assists the Capital Allocation & Financial Analysis Manager in supporting the organization's strategic decisions by providing advanced financial modeling, data analysis, and actionable insights. This role collaborates cross-functionally to enhance the precision of financial models ensuring projects align with business objectives to optimize capital allocation. They will collaborate with finance, operations, and strategy teams to ensure financial resources are deployed effectively, supporting long-term profitability and shareholder value.ResponsibilitiesBuild and interpret complex financial models, including net present value (NPV), internal rate of return (IRR), payback period, and return on capital calculations.Develop financial models to assess investment opportunities, risk-adjusted returns, and strategic business cases.Apply capital budgeting principles and corporate finance knowledge to evaluate capital investment opportunities.Review and validate financial assumptions, ensuring accuracy in calculations and reporting.Work closely with different departments (e.g., actuarial, claims, finance, operations, strategy, and senior leadership) to ensure capital is allocated in alignment with company objectives.Support monitoring and tracking the financial performance of approved projects, identifying areas for improvement and optimization.Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to enhance decision-making related to capital investments.Support the preparation of presentations and reports summarizing investment analysis for executive leadership and stakeholders.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of corporate finance, accounting principles, and investment appraisal methodologies.Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future visa sponsorship.Job description is not prescriptive, but rather a guide as to the duties and responsibilities you will have, however it is not limited to the listed above.RequirementsEducation & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field required (MBA or CFA preferred).2+ years of experience in financial analysis, capital allocation, corporate finance, or related roles.Financial & Analytical SkillsAdvanced financial modeling and valuation techniques, including NPV, IRR, and discounted cash flow (DCF) analysis.Strong understanding of capital allocation, corporate finance, and investment appraisal methodologies.Ability to assess risk-adjusted returns and scenario analysis to support decision-making.Technical & Tools ProficiencyProficiency in Microsoft Excel (including VBA, macros, and complex formulas), PowerPoint, and financial reporting tools.Experience with financial planning software, business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), and ERP systems.Business & Strategic AcumenUnderstanding of key financial statements, cost of capital, and capital budgeting processes.Ability to align financial strategy with corporate objectives and identify value creation opportunities.Experience in capital-intensive industries, financial services, or strategic finance roles is a plus.Collaboration & LeadershipStrong ability to work cross-functionally with finance, operations, and senior leadership to drive capital allocation decisions.Excellent communication skills for presenting financial insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.Problem-Solving & Decision-MakingStrong critical thinking skills to evaluate investments and improve financial performance.Ability to identify financial risks, propose mitigation strategies, and optimize resource allocation.Salary Range$68,008.36 - $102,012.53—The salary range listed here has been provided to comply with local regulations and represents a potential base salary range for this role.
