Staff Nurse PRN
The Cardiac Rehab Nursecoordinates the care of Phase II Cardiac Rehab patients in an outpatient program. The cardiac rehabilitation nurse is a registered nurse who possesses advanced knowledge and skill in the area of cardiac nursing.Job Duties:Provides patient's initial orientation and on-going monthly assessments during rehab.Develops a rehabilitation plan that addresses the patients risk stratification, risk factors, exercise and functional status.Develops patient rehabilitation discharge goals that promote transitioning the patient back into community health and exercise resources.Communicates rehabilitation plan and discharge to ordering physicians.Provides and documents patient care per department policy and external regulatory requirements.Performs patient education classes on risk factors of heart disease.May be required to make critical decisions concerning the initiative of emergency medical procedures and protocols.Performs and assists the Nurse Manager with other duties as they arise in the outpatient clinic setting. xihmbkeQualifications:Experience, qualification, and soft skills, have you got everything required to succeed in this opportunity Find out below.Minimum of 3 years of experience as an RN with 1-2 years of experience working with cardiac patients - preferably on a telemetry unit or coronary care unit.Excellent customer service skillsRequirements:Bachelor of Science in Nursing highly preferredCurrent TX RN LicenseBLS and ACLS required
