Join our growing team supporting the NGA customer's mission as a PostgreSQL Database Analyst.\nResponsibilities:\nWhat you get to do every day:\n\nAs a PostgreSQL Database Analyst you will analyze, design, develop, implement, and support SQL infrastructure deployment and management. You will work under limited supervision and perform additional duties as assigned to include, but not limited to:\nManages the functionality and efficiency of a group of servers running on one or more operating systems.\nMaintains the integrity and security, configures role-base access control (RBAC), and sets up administrative accounts\nSets up administrator and service accounts.\nMaintain documentation for configurations, standards, and procedures.\nInteracts with users and evaluates vendor products.\nDevelops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.\nDevelops and implements testing strategies and document results.\nProvides advice on performance tuning and training to end-users.\nEvaluates open-source or vendor tools and participates in database migration/special modernization projects.\nCollaborate with developers on schema design, query optimization, and stored procedures.\nPlan and execute database upgrades, patching, and migrations.\nEnsure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.\nParticipate in on-call rotations for after-hours support.\nQualifications:\nClearance Required: Active TS clearance (with SCI Eligibility) and eligibility to obtain CI Poly\n\nEducation/Experience:\nRequires Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience\n5+ years of of related database analysis and/or administration experience\nRequired Skills:\n\nPostgreSQL experience required. Oracle database administration a plus.\nCompTIA Security+ or equivalent recommended\nExperience in PostgreSQL administration/tuning including knowledge and implementation of database high-availability solutions\nExperience in monitoring, creating, and managing PostgreSQL server agent alerts\nExperience with Database backup, restore, migration, and Database snapshot technologies/strategies\nKnowledge on how to build/maintain efficient database table structures for both transactional and warehouse data\nKnowledge of Oracle 19c administration and performance tuning\nMigration experience with Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL\nWhat is ideal?\nIntelligence Community Experience preferred\nWhat you can expect from us:\nRecognizing great achievements do not go unnoticed by bcore through service anniversaries, spot awards, and employee referral bonuses\nYou’ll join a growing organization of passionate, top-shelf, IT engineering professionals with extensive experience in actively developing the technology revolution in the Intelligence community\nThe expected salary range within the Washington, DC metropolitan area is: $122,000-$135,000.
