In this role, you will manage the development of new industrial and rugged computers, edge systems, and servers. You will be responsible for driving cross-functional teams, managing budgets, and ensuring timely delivery of our innovative products. You will oversee all development stages, driving technical quality in electrical, mechanical, and firmware designs, and ensuring all products meet stringent ruggedized design, regulatory compliance (e.g., DNV, UL, IEC), and lifecycle management standards. We encourage candidates who are able to relocate or comfortably commute to apply.\r\nResponsibilities\r\nEnd-to-End Program Leadership: driving development projects from initial concept through prototype build, validation, and ultimately to production, utilizing a structured gate-staged development process.\r\nStrategic Planning & Execution: developing and managing comprehensive project plans for all engineering initiatives, including detailed schedules, budgets, sourcing, and prototype build strategies.\r\nStakeholder Engagement: cultivating strong relationships with diverse stakeholders and fostering collaboration with cross-functional teams, from senior leadership to highly specialized engineers.\r\nRisk Management: taking ownership of project and portfolio risks, and proactively implementing mitigation strategies to minimize their impact.\r\nOn-Time Delivery & Budget Control: ensuring the timely execution of projects across all internal departments and external partners, while staying within the project development budget.\r\nTransparent Communication: providing clear and consistent progress updates to both internal and external stakeholders throughout all phases of development.\r\nStrategic Technical Decision-Making: evaluating product requirements against development complexity, cost, and time-to-market; facilitating cross-functional discussions on product health to drive informed phase-gate exits and mitigate architectural risks.\r\nInterdisciplinary Leadership: applying knowledge of the design process to identify friction points, optimize interdisciplinary workflows, and ensure project velocity remains unhindered by technical dependencies.\r\nContinuous Improvement: implementing process efficiencies and cross-functional standards, enabling faster development cycles and scalable product delivery.\r\nQualifications\r\n5+ years experience delivering large, complex projects on time and on budget.\r\nB.S. degree in Engineering or Computer Science; a Master's degree is a strong plus.\r\nDemonstrable expertise and deep technical knowledge in computer hardware, electrical design, mechanical engineering, and system integration.\r\nExcellent problem-solving, communication, risk mitigation, and time management skills.\r\nAbility to handle multiple projects and conflicting priorities.\r\nExperience with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Smartsheet).\r\nA detail-oriented, organized, and adaptable work style.\r\nPMP or comparable certification is required.\r\nBenefits\r\nA competitive Salary based upon your experience and the requirements of the role.\r\nA comprehensive Benefits package.\r\n401(k) Plan with 3% Employer Contribution.\r\nAn Annual Profit Share Bonus.\r\nPaid Maternity & Paternity Leave, and Short & Long Term Disability.\r\nOpportunity to Participate in our Employee Stock Purchase Plan.\r\nA personal development plan created to help you (and us) grow.\r\nWe are committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and harassment-free workplace for all employees.
