Membership is optional.\nAbout Us\nSpokane Community College, part of Spokane Colleges, serves 15,000 students with career technical, liberal arts, and adult education programs in Spokane and surrounding rural communities.\nApplications will be forwarded to the hiring official as they are received and accepted until the need is filled.\nAbout the Manufacturing/Trades- Adjunct – Corporate & Continuing Education\nCHARACTERISTIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nTeach Biomanufacturing basics and best practices\nResponsible for organizing online classes and in-person labs\nPlan classroom management, attendance policies, homework, and test policies.\nProvide syllabus for class.\nFollow up with students when absent.\nProvide timely feedback and support to students.\nMaintain accurate records.\nMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS\nA combination of training and work experience in Biomanufacturing\nThree years of relevant work experience in the field, or\nThree years of relevant and recent teaching experience in Biomanufacturing, Microbiology, or specific subject matter area.\nExcellent oral and written communication skills.\nDESIRED QUALIFICATIONS\nExperience working with adult learners.\nKnowledge of a learning management systems such as CANVAS.\nAn earned associate’s degree in microbiology specific areas or closely related field from an accredited institution.\nFive years of recent experience in Biomanufacturing or related field.\nTeaching experience.\nCONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT\nPerson hired must be able to provide acceptable documentation of U.S. Citizenship or lawful authorization to work in the United States. This is an absolute condition of employment. An offer of employment will not carry with it any responsibility or obligation on the part of the district to sponsor an H1-B visa. In addition, the Spokane Colleges maintain a drug-free work environment and prohibits all smoking in the college buildings and state-owned vehicles.
